Objectivism Link Lists

The pages discussed below provide lists of links related to Objectivism and/or Ayn Rand.

Descriptive Lists

Descriptive lists include descriptions and/or evaluations of the linked sites. When they are kept up to date, these are the best lists to use. They usually list fewer sites, but the descriptions provide crucial guidance to help you find the right site to meet your needs.

• The Agnosticism/Atheism section of About.com includes a subject guide for Objectivism and Ayn Rand, while their Classic Literature section provides links related to Rand and her works. (Note: About.com uses frames to "trap" visitors into their advertising when an external link is followed.)
• The Ayn Rand page at EpistemeLinks.com is part of a general-interest philosophy site that maintains links to a wide variety of materials related to philosophy.
• Erratic Impact's Feminism Web includes a page of resources related to Ayn Rand. A "Fetch More Results" button at the bottom of the page produces additional sites listed on various search engines. The main list has some outdated links.
• Geometry.Net, an educational resource site, lists links related to Ayn Rand with descriptions. Also provides excerpts of text from the sites.
• Jerry Nilson's Lyceum References is a pro-Objectivism site with extensive links, including European-oriented sites (he is based in Norway). Lists ARI-supportive sites only.
• Robin Craig's MonoRealism site is primarily about her own philosophical ideas, but includes a lengthy list of resources on Objectivism.
• The Objectivist Center lists a number of Objectivist Links with descriptions and evaluations.
• The Sense of Life Objectivists offer an Objectivism Web Directory.

Standard Lists

Standard, non-descriptive lists simply list links by name, usually in various categories ("Organizations," "Magazines," etc.). These lists can be quite extensive, but tend to have a greater number of dead or outdated links. Many of the sites listed below have this problem in some degree, but all still contain a large percentage of useful links.

• A forum for Objectivist Links on the WWW is provided on the Forum for Ayn Rand Fans discussion board.
• A list of Research Sources from The Journal of Ayn Rand Studies includes both websites and print sources.
• The Sense of Life Objectivists site includes a list of the Top Eight Objectivism Sites, which are used their "Objectivist Search Engine."

General Directory Listings

Several general-purpose web directories include a category for Objectivism.

• Galaxy
• The Open Directory
• Yahoo!

NOTE: A number of web directories and search engines make use of the listings offered by either LookSmart or The Open Directory. These are not listed separately because they will simply repeat the material from those directories.

Webrings

Webrings are associations of sites related by some theme or subject matter. In a typical ring, sites display a webring logo that can be clicked on to see other sites in the ring.

• Bomis offers several pages of links on topics related to Ayn Rand and Objectivism. These are called "rings," but appear to function more as descriptive lists of links. The available pages are:
